This is very cool. Just curious, and forgive my ignorance, but how did you utilize Photoshop in these?
ReplyDeleteAnd where is Greenfields? Westheath? Arcadia? Eystlund?
I used Photo Shop as an in-between program to convert the mapper file and the Auto Cad file into usable jpg files.
ReplyDeleteGreenfields is roughly a two-three day march northeast of "the city" that Ademar fled from. I'm not really sure how it fits into the world yet, I was hoping that perhaps the DM could help me out on that one.
I can help you there, its not too difficult. I just wanted to know whether you had looked over the map and decided for yourself. I imagine that Ademar, being the type of elf he seems to be, likely hails from the Citadel of Mist. This puts him in the northern hemisphere of the nation of Kemmermere.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't have to be from the city proper necessarily as there are villages interspersed throughout the massive forest.
Either way, he wouldn't be far from southern Westheath, or the untamed lands on the western coast (south of Hellgate) if a largely unmapped and unknown area is more to your liking.
Just looking at the map now. At first I thought Westheath (the city) would be perfect as it is a city outside the elven nation but not too far away. Then I noticed there is no forest anywhere near it. In keeping with the story as I have written, Cynadicea seems the better choice. Although further away than Westheath, it fits better into the story.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess logically Ademar grew up in the Citadel of Mist (hmm, that makes two characters from there...). He then makes his way to Cynadicea to study with Deedra Garnet. Then flees into the forest to the west where he hides out for several days before emerging again from the north east edge of the wood. Then travels rouoghly 4-5 hours northeast to Greenfields (I think this puts it somewhere between Cynadicea and Vosstown).
So, what say you DM?
Perhaps we need to sit down after tomorrows session and discuss this further. I was writing more of Ademars story and realized that I need to know where exactly he is now before I can continue! I would like to keep things as true to the setting as possible. Oh well, I guess I'll just outline some and work out the details with you later.
